The Cravens House is the oldest surviving structure on Lookout Mountain

In Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was the home of Robert Cravens, a pioneer Chattanooga industrialist. Situated on a shelf-like ledge on Lookout Mountain's eastern slopes, the Cravens House was a major focal point in the Civil War "Battle Above the Clouds," on November 24, 1863.


Today, the Cravens House is administered by the National Park Service.
