A rare and extremely attractive nautical map of the SOUTH COAST OF ENGLAND, issued in 1880, by the British Admiralty.

This chart shows details of the coastline from Portland, past the ISLE OF WIGHT, to CHICHESTER.

Features both nautical and inland detail noting both topographical features and thousands of depth soundings (in fathoms). Important ports, Island and navigational points are carefully noted.

Originally published by the British Admiralty in 1880.

This 1922 edition,

has printed corrections to 1927.

Note - The orange/red markings on the chart indicate the location of navigational aids, such as lighthouses, beacons, markers, Etc. They have been updated, added / altered on a chart by means of Small Corrections.
