A gorgeous hand painted fan, from the late 19th century, circa 1880's. The pale green satin leaf hand painted with a colorful variety of butterflies and insects. The leaf is edged with handmade bobbin lace applique. The sticks are white mother of pearl and the guardstick length is 12 7/8". In very good condition. The silk backing is a bit worn and distressed.
