Mint Vintage Bamboo Root Face Carving Chinese Longevity Tree Spirit Japan

       Up for sale is an excellent mint vintage bamboo root face carving of Longevity,
    Tree Spirit.

    Not sure of origin. Guessing Japan.

    Carving is clean, crisp, on a fairly straight root. Root beard, bamboo cap, everything is clean, mint.

     Figure measures 18 in. total length top to bottom of root beard. About 8 in. wide.
    Hand carved face is about 3 in. up from the back, root beard about 4 in. up.

     I'm guessing it's at least 40 years old.

    Very cool carving. Clean and crisp. Nice.
