[iv], 183 pp. Bound in publisher's paper-covered boards with orange cloth backstrip with black and white spine lettering, black topstain. Near Fine with toning along bottom edge, small stain dot to fore edge, in Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with a little sunning to spine panel, two tiny stains to front panel. Nice shape overall.
The author's first and only novel, a gritty story of two boxers in Stockton, California. It inspired the acclaimed 1972 John Huston film by the same name. Uncommon signed.
