This is a relatively rare complete 1973 set of Schwinn bike reflectors, the first set issued to comply with the new government regulations for front and side visibility at night. This is a clean used pair of amber and red GEM 90 wheel reflectors, made for Schwinn by F&H/EMP (brand on edge may be either), plus a clear Gulco 24 front reflector and mounting bracket.

The wheel reflectors are exclusive to 1973 Schwinn models; they were replaced by Cat Eye RR-220 reflectors for 1974 and 1975. (Eventually all were replaced in 1976 by larger rectangular plastic units.) Wheel reflector diameter is 2" wide and 4¼" long overall, with a 2-pie prism. The clear front reflector is 2¼" diameter in an aluminum Gulco No. 2222 backing plate.

Reflectors are clean and in good condition. Wheel reflectors just snap into position between two spokes. (Note the directional arrows on the black frames pointing towards the rim, so that you get them installed right-side-up.) The front reflector installs under the handlebar clamp bolt. I am enclosing a free scanned copy of the original mounting instructions to help you get them installed correctly.
