My oh My, I love this thing. It is wonderful. It has been around for a long time, but yet it has not lost its appeal. Please look at the pictures. This item is very old. It was given to me by another vintage Halloween collector and it has remained in my collection for years. She always referred to it as a noisemaker. It is stamped Boston, Mass, made by the Marks Bros. Co, back in Sept of 1921. It is wonderful. I am not fully fluent in all noisemakers, so I am not sure if the string that hangs off the bottom or if all the crepe paper (orange & black) around the base were added some years later? This is the way she came across it. It has a fun interior stamp from Thomas Henry & Sons, which could be advertizing? But, to this I am guessing. Maybe you have an idea on this? We were always curious. There is a larger hole in the orange crepe paper and several small pin holes. I took pictures of all of that. Please take a close look as this piece is very old. I took several pictures of the top of it too, because the paper has worn away there too. Send any questions my way if you have them. I will do my best. Happy hunting and thank you for taking a look at this cool piece. JL
