This is a fantastic hand made and hand painted fraternal wood ceremonial plaque for the Foresters of America chapter in Adams, Massachusetts. Dates to around 1900, there are some holes at the top sides which may have connected it our mounted this item at one time. Likely for some type of ceremonial use. Measures 13.25 inches high, 9 inches wide and 1.25 inch deep. Beautiful patina and time worn appearance with losses and fading to paint. Please review photos for further assessment. Sold as is as found, a neat Americana relic. No returns.

The Foresters of America (F of A) was an American fraternal and benevolent organization that supported its membership with medical assistance, weekly sick benefits, burial benefits and support during times of unemployment or hardship. The Foresters of America also had social benefits, along with the financial. Its motto was “Liberty, Unity, Benevolence and Concord.”
