An incredible Art Deco era cigarette case with amazing hammered pattern and engine turned line patterns to the exterior. There is a a central rectangular cartouche on the front with an engraved HCF monogram. Typical of the excess of the 1920s before the stock market crash of 1929, beautiful cases like this showed off wealth and luxury.

A great example, there are strips of solid gold in yellow and rose gold on both sides of the exterior of the case. Stamped "Sterling 14k Gold Inlaid". Measures 4.25 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. Tactile, superb high quality item, nice weight at 4.21 ounces (119 grams). The interior is gold washed with a lift arm to hold cigarettes in place. This case can also be used to store cash, business cards or credit cards for a more modern day practical purpose.

Good condition, signs of use, surface scratches and a few small dents. No issues that distract from the presentation. Please review the photos for further assessment. Money and other items in photos are for presentation purposes only and are not included. Check out our other antique listings.
