WW1 1916 Hudson Trench Whistle & 1915 Broad Arrow Leather Lanyard Strap British.

Lovely find in a box of old niknaks from a house clearance in the North East of England.

Very rare item in that it also has the original leather strap attached which is well marked with the well known British War Office arrow along with the letter M and the number 15.

The whistle has been left exactly as found and is rather grubby whilst the strap is quite dry with oxidised rivets. That said it still functions perfectly and has done well to survive life in the World War One trenches and a further one hundred years.
