Retro 51 Tornado The Met Rollerball Pen, Tudor Armor

Retro 51 Tornado Metropolitan Museum of Art Rollerball Pen, Tudor Armor Officially Licensed Metropolitan Museum of Art fine writing instrument This regal pen by Retro51 pays tribute to an impressive suit of armor (1586) made in the royal workshops at Greenwich under the direction of master armorer Jacob Halder (British, documented 1558–1608) and now in The Met collection. It was designed for George Clifford, Third Earl of Cumberland and an illustrious Knight of the Garter as of 1592, for field and tournament use. This rollerball pen replicates the original artisan's decorative craftmanship with Queen Elizabeth I's family emblem, the Tudor rose, the French fleur-de-lis (then part of the English arms), and two Es back-to-back (Elizabeth's cipher) printed over the brass barrel and complete with polished brass trim. Each pen has been numbered on the top ring and loaded in The Met licensed packaging tube that doubles as a pen stand when it's not in use. Pick up a piece of history with this fine writing rollerball pen. Each Tornado has The Met logo imprinted on the finial and is finished with polished brass trim. Although they are not limited editions, the top rings are engraved with The Met logo and a serial number. These beautiful designs are a must have for any art lover. It is fitted with a smooth flowing rollerball refill that is retracted with its patented knurl twist-top. Replace the rollerball with any readily available Parker-style ballpoint refill and your Tornado is now a ballpoint pen. You'll find both the Retro 51 REF5P capless rollerball refill and Schmidt P900 ballpoint refill for this pen in our store under Refills.
