An antique watercolour dating to the late nineteenth century.

It is a lovely scene depicting two girls collecting grapes from a vine on the side of a house.

Appears to be unsigned.  I have opened up the picture and found the name Rosemonde Gerald inscribed verso.   Rosemonde Gerald (1871-1953) was a well known French poet and playwright, there are a small number of records for watercolours by her but I cannot make a definite attribution.

Painted on watercolour paper and laid to card.  In excellent condition and well presented with a complementary coloured card mount within a gilt frame.  The mount is in excellent condition, very slight wear to the frame but nothing significant.

Glazed and ready to hang.

Measures 31 x 37cm including the frame, the visible painting only is 21.5 x 28cm.

Postage £7 in the UK, £24 to mainland Europe and £46 to the USA.  For other destinations please contact me for a postage quote.
