Himalayan magnolia, Michelia champaca, Golden Champaca: This tree, a native of Asia, is a highly ornamental small evergreen tree with incredibly fragrant amber - orange coloured flowers throughout much of the year, It enjoys most climates from cool temperate to tropical It is known for its mustard yellow/ orange/ golden flowers which are strongly fragrant and bloom from summer to autumn. The flowers have been used for worship at temples, as a beauty ornament and natural perfume. The essence of the flower has been used to make fragrant oils and is one of the main ingredients in the perfume "Joy" by Jean Patou; the most expensive perfume in the world. The tree prefers medium well-drained soil in a sunny position. It is resistant to frost but does not care for drought. Plants for sale are "similar" to the photos shown.

Plant for sale is a well grown seedling "similar" to the ones shown in the 4 photos of potted plants, the other photo's are an example of adult plants flowers and foliage for reference purposes only.   Seedling is in a 50mm by 100mm deep seedling pot.
