Perhaps a cast with an old brass color and nice patina?.

Measurements are in photos. I do not believe it is the door knocker as it is not identical but does have two pre drilled holes on each side. I have had this piece sitting on a table next to other beautiful pieces of metal work and looks stellar. Most likely from 1900'.  Use it or just display it.
