Gatorade was invented, in 1965, by a team of scientists at the University of Florida.  It was originally made for the Florida Gators, UF's sports teams, to replenish their carbohydrates and electrolytes.  Gatorade was credited to the football Gators overpowering the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at the 1967 Orange Bowl.

Gatorade was originally bottled and marketed by Stokely-Van Camp, sold to Quaker Oats in 1983, and Pepsi-Cola in 2000.

This is a very early Gatorade bottle, when its ingredients were simpler, water, sodium, sugar, phosphorus, potassium, and lemon juice.   This bottle was used from 1965-1970.

The bottle is a beautiful art deco style.  It is 10 oz.  "Gatorade Sparkling thirst quencher" is on both sides of the bottle.

The ACL painted labels are near perfect.  This bottle looks to be never used, with no chips or case wear.

Shipping for this bottle will be only $9.00, anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day mail.
If you like, and purchase more of my many asst. bottles, I will ship them FREE with this one.
