I love my Graphite Grand Stick, but his factory PASV-4 pickup doesn't always meet all my expectations. So over the years I've built several alternative pickups to use in my Grand Stick interchangeably with the PASV-4. These have been modules built from both various guitar pickups and DIY coils. As part of tidying up and reducing too many of these pickups, I’m putting 2 modules up for sale.

In this ad the object of the sale is a module built on the basis of Schaller 2 neck mini humbuckers made around 1988 in Germany. They were originally installed in Hofner Verythin Vintage guitars, among others. Coils permanently connected in series. From what I remember, the resistance of each pickup was about 8 kOhm. Each pickup has its own Volume potentiometer. Completely passive design in dual mono mode i.e. the signal from the 6 strings goes to Tip and the other 6 to Ring. The original overpole have been replaced with screws in the style that Emmett Chapman used for the Stickup.

The module frame is made of bamboo plank, which has been drilled through the middle. Shielded and spray-painted. The front and back are separately screwed covers made of Dibond, a material containing a 2 layers of thin shielding aluminium foil within it.

The whole module is the size of an ACTV-2 or PASV-4. You won't just put it on a Railboard and Grand Stick factory-fitted with Stickup, because it's bigger than that.

Cons:

1. one screw from screwing on the tail cover is lost somewhere,

2. the screw holes for attaching the module to the Stick are in a different location than those originally found on the Stick. So when mounting this module you will have to drill 2 additional holes in the body.

3. The centre of the module is invisible, so I didn't pay special attention to how precisely and aesthetically pleasing the space for the electronics was made.

The overall current exterior can be seen in the photos. I have also added some photos of the inside from the assembly stage.

Quickly recorded sound samples can be found in the video. The sound specifically is of the dry type without any effects or correction. Please also mercifully do not point out any shortcomings in my play, as it was not the point of recording.

I don't make custom Stick pickups on order !!! I'm only selling what is left after my experiments in this area.
