Solid quarter sawn oak with dovetail joints on the corners of the case

Old finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving lots of dings, mars, & shrinkage separations for character. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.

Brass hardware is original
