Here we have a wonderful antique, probably late Victorian or Edwardian, leaves & petals Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau style, floor standing candelabra. This is hand forged / blacksmith made from wrought iron & measures 158 cm`s (just over 5' 2") tall & 55 cm`s wide. The weight is approximately 12 kg`s. Both sides are hinged & fold together, please see photo 8. This has at some point in its history been converted to be used with electricity, there is a wire attached along its length & there are 3 candle like, bayonet, wooden bulb holders. It looks like the original paint on the leaves was green in colour, this can be seen where the newer paint is flaking away, photos 10 & 11. The original paint on the body looks like it was white or cream in colour. The candelabra is in antique used condition with general wear, paint loss & surface rust, please see photos. The structure is strong & sturdy with no damage & the two arms move on there hinges as they should. All the electrics would require replacing. The wooden bulb holders have some woodworm. A really lovely item that would look great in a conservatory or as a stunning Christmas feature. Due to size & weight this is collection only from Cambridge CB4. Thanks for looking.
