I'm no expert but I have seen a lot of these and none like this one! Very unique. Someone has added the spigot or water valve somewhere along the way. I am not 100% sure but I believe the knob on the water valve is bakelite. It DOES hold water and functions well... does not leak.

Approx. 13 in. to top of handle. 11.25 in. to top of lid. 6 in. diameter at base and 9 in. diameter in the center
