Fabulous Vintage 1960s Rayon Velvet Fabric for Sale by the Metre

Deep Royal Blue (it is a little darker than the photos show)

Made in West Germany by Kimmel, this beautiful garment-weight velvet is 90cm wide including the selvedge.

It has the most wonderful drape - perfect for gowns, capes, coats, waistcoats, light furnishings, bags etc.

It would be very suitable for costumes or formal wear.

This fabric has been kept on the original bolt for many years - it is in excellent condition.

The selvedge is stamped 'Made in West Germany' at intervals.

The selvedges have been attached to the original metal toothed rolls so there are regular marks where they were hooked on but these marks do not encroach on the fabric.
