Up for sale is this early to mid 1960’s Vintage Zildjian 18” Crash or Ride Cymbal with the 60’s stamp that has the three dots and is 1-3/16” in size which would make this one a early 60’s production cymbal. As the stamp size for cymbals produced later in the decade are 1-1/2” in size. The research I’ve done indicates that this cymbal was manufactured between the 1960-1969. (See Pics)

I’m no drummer so I have no way to tell if this is a Crash or a Ride Cymbal.

The weight of this cymbal is 1570 grams.

These cymbals don’t come up for sale too often. I was gonna clean it up but thought I’d leave the mojo on it and let the new owner clean it if they want to.

I’m not a drummer but rather a musician who plays mostly string instruments like the guitar. However I got a few cymbals with a vintage 50’s Ludwig drum set I bought years ago and have since sold the drum kit. I forgot I had this cymbal so I’m posting it so it can go to a good home and get the love and use it was made for.

The center mounting hole has a small bit of key holing as you can see, but this is some what common for a cymbal of this age. (See Pics)

The cymbal has a blacken area. (See Pics) I’m not sure what this black area is from or what caused it as the cymbal was like this when I got it. Should be able to be cleaned I would think with the proper cleaning agents and technique, however I’m no expert on cleaning cymbals so I didn’t want to damage it by not cleaning it properly or using the wrong thing to clean it with. However it doesn’t effect the sound produced but is purely cosmetic.
