Because these units were NEVER OPENED they remain sealed as NOS (New Old Stock) products - in the same condition as if retail new ordered from any store that carries (carried) them, such as Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot, etc. These new products have their own unique UPC code separate from the UPC code for the non-recertified new version of this product.
Because they are NOS they are almost without manufacturer warranty, but the buyer may register them with Acer and or Acer Genuine Recertified (see sticker image, and also there is an info sheet in each box with instructions) which entitles you to receive updates (e.g., firmware, if there has been one) and Acer product support, as offered/limited by Acer policy for all purchasers. WE GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK UPON ARRIVAL and, if it does not function immediately in normal use, we will provide instructions for a user-paid-shipping return to us in perfectly-repacked and undamaged condition - just notify us through eBay within 48 hours of delivery receipt, and, upon return and inspection, we will refund purchase price, (not shipping), so long as we receive the item within 96 hours of our return authorization issuance. OUR EXPERIENCE with this Acer Genuine Factory Recertified version is that THEY DO NOT BREAK and DO NOT DEGRADE. That's based on the dozens of these we opened and put into 24/7 uninterrupted use now going on five (5) years with zero failure rate. SERIAL NUMBERS PHOTOGRAPHED for each unit prior to shipment - serial numbers appear on the packaging, on the monitor itself, internally on the monitor shell/housing, internally printed on monitor circuit boards, internally in the monitor's electronic BIOS.
