Description

Object: Imari plate from the Meiji period (1868-1912), decorated in underglaze blue as well as overglaze enamels and gold.


Decoration: In the centre, a landscape, surrounded by floral and abstract designs.


Size: Diameter 25 cm (10").

Marks: "Dai Min sei ka nen sei" in Japanese kanji characters (underglaze blue).

State: Excellent - no cracks, chips or repairs.  One monor kiln flaw (see pictures)

 

NOTE: Sometimes we sell a set of items (e.g. five cups, six plates) one by one.
