A magnificent 1920s rawhide suitcase with chunky moulded corner bumps, a sturdy strap handle and chromed cast metal locks. This is a top quality example and a very reluctant sale!

EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS: 66cm long, 40cm wide, 19cm deep (26” x 15 ¾” x 7 ½”).

CONDITION: in great condition throughout, this is a hefty piece that has aged beautifully. There is no distortion or warping, the leather is in good condition and the handle is strong. The latches work smoothly and all the stitching is intact. One of the corner bumps has taken a bash and there is a small tear of the leather underneath, but this is barely noticeable. Inside, the unbleached cotton twill lining is a bit grey in places but is generally clean. The leather hinge straps have snapped. Please inspect the photos for the full story.
