The item is in used condition as it shows visible dents, scratches, and wear due to age, handling, and especially usage. 

ITEM 1483 DESCRIPTION 

Antique Chinese official's document box. 

A softwood box with two drawers, a sliding lid, and a handle. 

The drawers with brass pull in the shape of leaves. 

Comes with a black ink inscription on the sliding lid of the box which translates into English as Li Yaofan. 

Possibly used by a provincial tax collector, circa 1900.
