These are two of the sweetest dolls. They do not appear to have been played with. They were probably put on display only.
Note the striped dress is beginning to split apart from age.
The blue paint on the feet is beginning to fade away from age.
On the bottom of one foot is stamped the typical Germany, as seen on other
Erzgebirge products. My favorite of this set is the precious tiny knitted hat on one of the dolls.
I pushed up the leg of the bloomers under the skirt and was able to see that the legs are attached by wire.
