A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'EIGHT GEESE' VASES
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)

Each vase is delicately enamelled to the exterior with a continuous scene of eight geese standing on rocks beside floral sprays and reeds, below a border of blue ruyi heads and stylised pendant jewels surrounding the flaring mouth rim and above a band of classic scroll encircling the short tapered foot. The base has an apocryphal Qianlong mark within a double square.
