Original 1960s 70s Talking Dalek Vintage Retro Collectable Red Black Tomy Dr Who

Not sure exactly what decade it was manufactured (either 60s or 70s) but I've had this since I was a small child in the 70s.

Rare collectible.

In good cosmetic condition apart from the battery compartment having rusty screws and the battery contacts are heavily oxidised (see pics)

There's a small crack to the plastic inside the grille at the top but isn't very noticeable (see photo)

No accessories or battery cover included.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Unfortunately after fitting some 'AA' batteries I cannot get it to work. That could be because of the oxidisation and one battery is loose and not quite touching.

However after scraping the contacts to try and get them clean and gently bending the contacts inwards there's still no power.

The top button is also very loose, like the connection to it isn't making contact properly. That could be the problem but probably solvable by an enthusiast with a little patience to open it up.
