Very rare find, a jacket & skirt set by Chicago Designer MARIA RODRIGUEZ. Jacket is tagged size M, skirt is size P*. Gorgeous hand-woven tweeds were her specialty, and this dressy combo mixes shades of brown with metallic bronze. The lined jacket has a velvet collar, stunning rose-3D antiqued buttons, soft shoulder pads (easily snipped out if desired), faux pockets, bracelet-length sleeves. The skirt is unlined with an open knit below the wide stretch waist band, soft pleats below.
Exact age unknown. I found a news-paper article on her from 1988 and 1998. Excellent vintage condition. A real stunner!
*Flowing skirt is pull-on style, and can just barely fit over my 39" hips, so not recommended for larger, unless of course you replace with longer elastic :-)
