Info [English] October 2006: When Cloudberry entered the stage of Frankfurts cult-venue Batschkapp in this line-up they cleared up things after a few minutes! The former solo-project of songwriter Marco Pleil is now a full and vivid band! The energy that is unleashed by Moni Grysa (bass, backing vocals), Thomas Wolf (drums) and Marco (vo-cals, guitars) has been packed into 14 stunning tunes by producer Kurt Ebelhäuser (Blackmail, Scumbucket, Donots) @ Tonstudio 45. Some say it is a potion of thunderous melancholy- Graceful & Light, the 3rd Cloudberry-album!
When the predecessors Destroyer (2005, produced by Guido Lucas who is also well-known) and Elijah (2003) have almost been solo attempts by Marco, you now will realise that a lot is new, different and more vital on Graceful & Light. The catchy fuzz guitars still rule the place (HRDFLR), thundering drums (Anything Goes) push the beat , supported by female backing-vocals (A Feeling Justified), strings that could be taken straight from a movie soundtrack (The Paingarden) and the production of Ebelhäuser (who also provides vocals on Hits & Hugs) puts all the pieces together.
Graceful & Light offers 14 statements of pop music, all following the footsteps of classic indie rock bands like Guided By Voices, Sebadoh, Ash... you name it!
