The constantly growing amount of electric consumers in modern vehicles and special requirements such as start/stop systems and braking-energy recuperation call for top-performance batteries. AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology from Bosch is the leading technology on the market for the most exacting requirements. AGM technology: Top-of-the-range power for a peak performance

In batteries with AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, special mats of very thin glass fibers lie tightly between the lead plates of the battery and all the electrolyte. The high contact pressure minimizes the loss of active material with an extremely low internal resistance. The faster reaction between the electrolyte and the plate material allows the passage of a greater quantity of energy in demanding situations.

Bosch AGM batteries at a glance: Suitable for all systems

If battery replacement is needed, it is important to install AGM batteries again in passenger cars that were fitted with this type of battery when new. Otherwise, the function and positive effects of the start/stop system would be impaired. The battery service life would also be reduced.

When is an upgrade from conventional or EFB to AGM worthwhile?

  • Does the vehicle have extensive electronic equipment?
  • Is the vehicle equipped with additional, retrofitted electronic devices?
  • Are devices, e.g. mobile phones, often charged in the vehicle?
  • Do you often drive under extreme weather conditions?
  • Do you often drive short distances or are often in traffic queues?
  • Would you be prepared to pay more for a product with a better long-term benefit (service life)?

If you have answered any of these questions with “yes”, an upgrade to an AGM is recommended.

3. Returns received by us 30 days or more after the date of despatch will not be accepted unless specifically agreed beforehand.
4. We will process your return within 2 working days and will act quickly to action whatever we have agreed over email (refund, replacement or exchange).

Delivery Exceptions
Delivery to non-mainland UK postcodes may incur a surcharge cost which we forward directly to the courier delivering your order. This can include addresses in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Shetland Islands and Channel Islands.
