The print offered here is an etching/engraving by the renowned Italian printmaker Francesco Bartolozzi (1728-1815) after a drawing by Giovanni Batista Cipriani (1727-1785).  Both Bartolozzi and Cipriani were from Florence, were good friends and made their way independently to London in the latter half of the 18th century where they collaborated on hundreds of prints.  This engraving was made after Cipriani's death and before Bartolozzi left England a near-bankrupt.

I have been unsuccessful at locating an example of the print online.  However, I believe that it was part of A Set of Etchings by Francis Bartolozzi R.A., in Imitation of DrawingsFrom the Sketches of the Late John Baptist Cipriani R.A., published by Bartolozzi in 1788.  There are examples of the prints from this work in the online collections of the New York Metropolitan Museum and the British Museum.

This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off.  Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions".  For example, offered maps are of the period.  Please check my other listings for additional items of interest.  I will combine shipping.
