ALCANTARA (1927)

She was built by Harland & Woff., Ltd., Belfast, Ireland for the Royal Mail LIne as a 22,181 GT ship with dimensions of 630'x78'. Twin-screw, 18 knots, motorship two masts and two funnels.

Later had only a single funnel.

Diesel engines were replaced with steam turbines in 1934.

Scrapped in Japan 1958.
