This is a stunning heavy well made sterling silver box with an intricate engine turned design on all sides. The top lid features a beautiful large hand chased illustration of a horse head. Originally intended for cigarettes, the interior is lined in cedar wood with an adjustable central wood separator. A true statement piece that is eye catching for a table, dresser or desk - perfect for storage of small trinkets or jewelry.

Measures 7.25 inches wide, 3.5 inches deep and 1.25 inches high. The side features English hallmarks for sterling silver, the maker is A. Wilcox and it was made in Birmingham in 1950. Total weight is an impressive 433 grams. Good condition with smooth hinge operation to open, there are several small dents to top sides and corners and surface wear/scratches.
