The print offered here is a rare and lovely lithograph of a very interesting subject.  The two-tinted lithograph shows the layout of a Belgian plant nursery and greenhouse owned by Louis van Houtte.  The lithograph depicts both workmen in the background and apparently retail (or wholesale) customers examining the plants and engaging in discussions.

The lithographer is named in the lower left hand corner below the image:  Horte van Houtteano, who fittingly primarily did lithographs of botanicals.  The wove paper has a watermark that appears to read "J J H L & Co.".
