Antique Apothecary Scales 

A lovely small set of antique balance beam scales dating from the 19th Century. The beam is steel and the pans are made of brass suspended by thick green cord. They also come with a set of various small antique brass weights. 

The scales come in their original oak box with a section for the weights and hand written paper notes about the weights.

The whole set is in good condition and displays very nicely. The box has a few small knocks and marks as to be expected but no major damages. The scales have tarnished over time, there are some small dents in the pans and other signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. The whole set has been cleaned and lightly polished and are ready for display.
