The red stripe cables, Apple 590-0167 and 590-0437, share identical pinouts, while the yellow flat cable, lacking a part number, is distinct and specifically compatible with the 800K MFD-51W-03 drive, distinguished by its black label, as depicted in the accompanying pictures. These cables serve as the Internal Disk Drive connection Cables for the Mac 128K, 512K, 512Ke, Plus, and SE (800K drive), boasting an approximate length of 6 inches.The Red stripe is also used on the Macintosh Classic 1.44 MB drive (MFD-75W).
The RED STRIPE CABLE is designed for compatibility with Black-lettered 800K drives (SONY MFD-51W), 1.44MB (SONY MP-F75W) and 400K drives (SONY OA-D34V)
The YELLOW STRIPE CABLE is intended for use with Red-lettered 800K drives (MFD-51W-03)(MFD-51W-10), and notably, this cable lacks a specific part number. For the Macintosh SE Dual 800K drive, the Yellow cable comes in two lengths: 6 inches for the bottom drive and 12 inches for the upper drive. It's important to note that pins 9 and 20 on this cable are not connected
