Offered here is an 1869 publication to promote Whann's Raw Bone Super-Phosphate.  On the back cover is a lovely small engraving of the Whann Manufactory on the Delaware River in Wilmington, Del.  There are 94 pages in the publication.

The topics addressed are farming techniques, including of course the use of Whann's fertilizer, as well as quite a few recipes ranging from "Calves-Head Pie to Eat Cold" to Hoosier Biscuits, Pic-Nic Cake, Birds Nest Pudding, Washington Pie Flummery, and so on.  Altogether a fascinating and no doubt useful pamphlet.

This pamphlet is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off.  Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions".  For example, offered maps are of the period.  Please check my other listings for additional items of interest.  I will combine shipping.
