“Baton Rouge” (1941) 8mm Film Home Movie, Pano, Capitol Building, Refinery, VS1


Film captures some great historic Baton Rouge, Louisiana footage with a riverboat on the River and panoramic shots of the city, capitol building, Avery Island, Standard Oil refinery and a heron sanctuary. The cameraman clearly had experience with the camera and took great shots in 1941 plus adding in titles between identifying the footage.


FILM CONDITION:

Film is in good condition and ran through an autoload projector. Film has slight curl.


VINEGAR SYNDROME:

A-D test strip indicates that the film has level 1 vinegar syndrome, fair to good condition. Film has slight curling, but ran through projector without issue. Film currently in cold storage to prevent further degradation.
