Casström nr 13101
The Casström No.10 Swedish Forest Knife is a robust full-tang knife that can handle all tasks in the wilderness for bushcraft, hunting, fishing and survival. This is a knife that can skin a moose, prepare food or split wood equally well.
Austrian Sleipner steel (from Böhler-Uddeholm), "non-stainless". Briefly : the qualities of a carbon tool stell (e.g. K720) with a much better corrosion resistance, due to a significant amount of chromium. The blade, following a special Cryogenic hardening routine, holds an edge really well even during very hard use such as wood splitting. Scandinavian grind, along with the steel properties, makes the knife robust, effective for wood carving, and easy to sharpen in the outdoors.
Hand-finished oiled oak wood handle with an ergonomic design that gives a warm and comfortable feeling of natural wood.
Sturdy welted sheath in vegetable-tanned European leather with a draining hole.
As usual with Casström knives, fit and finish is just awesome.
