"FAMILIAR LECTURES ON BOTANY, Practical, Elementary and Physiological, with an APPENDIX, containing descriptions of THE PLANTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND EXOTICS, &c. for the use of seminaries and private students. By Mrs. Almira H. Lincoln, late vice-principal of Troy Female Seminary, Author of Lectures to Young Ladies, Chemistry for Beginners, Botany for Beginners, &c."

17th edition, 1842, revised and enlarged, with many additional engravings.

Title says it all, its pretty much every single bit of science relating to plants; their description, anatomy, reproduction, agriculture and care, habitats, all that. several different glossaries and indexes, for easy reference. also includes the "language of flowers", which is what each flower symbolizes in art and bouquets.
i took pictures of just random pages, so you can get a good idea of both what's contained in here, plus the condition.

SPECS:
about 8 x 5 x 1.25".
186 pages, but it is tiiiiiny font.
about 150 or so illustrations.
full leather cover.

CONDITION:
poor.
leather at top of spine is missing, front and back boards are literally hanging on by a thread.
leather worn all over, with another chunk missing at back side.
the first few pages are detached but still included.
pages yellowed, with foxing and stains throughout.
it's clearly been read a lot.
several owners names, some math equations, and a review or something written in pencil (too light to make out), in the last few pages.
i oiled and waxed the leather a few years ago, to keep the condition from getting worse, so it will probably need another treatment in another year or two.
please see pics.
