Rare code-matched Westinghouse 6679 / 12AT7 tubes, 5 available, all test NOS, made by Mullard, all are in original boxes with sleeve going to first buyer of 2 or more tubes plus an extra empty correct box. These are all the sought-after rare early type with the 45 degree angle tilt to the top O getter. This is a 1966 set. The 6679 is a higher quality premium industrial version of the 12AT7 and were originally designed for professional communications use - these are great in audio applications; very clean, warm and smooth sound. All these tubes have the '626' code (26th week of 1966), and appear to have seen little use. Made by Mullard in England for Westinghouse. All tested in NOS range on calibrated BK 747, with results as:

All pictures, including the test results, are of these Westinghouse tubes. These 6679's are all labeled on the glass with 'Westinghouse', 'Made in UK', '6679 / 12AT7', and '626'. Very clear logos. Short grey plates and a robust angled top O getter as seen in pictures. The 6 boxes are in good condition, measure 3 inches tall, and all have the correct '6679 12AT7 UNITED KINGDOM' label on the top end flap. All boxes are labeled 'C5' and '1234 5678' on the bottom end underflap. Boxes and sleeve both have 'Printed in Canada', and are bilingual (English on one side and French on another side). This tube set came from a Canadian communication company's reserve stock department, and a one-page detailed written provenance is included.
