During World War II, E. C. Kropp Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin produced colorful, humorous and inspirational postcards regarding Army life.  One of the most famous was its "Remember Pearl Harbor" card, which most often is seen as a separate postcard showing Uncle Sam spanking what appears to be a Japanese child.

The set of cards offered here includes the Remember Pearl Harbor image on the front of a mailer and on the reverse is an image with a V for victory, the Statue of Liberty and 7 small vignettes of the various US armed forces.  On the inside of the mailer itself is a printed letter that was intended to be addressed to the folks back home and signed by a member of the military.  The letter begins "Yowsah, Folks, this is me in my new issue" and ends with "WIN WE Will".    Enclosed within the mailer is an expandable set of 9 very colorful double-sided cards showing humorous experiences in the Army and also ending with a "WIN WE WILL" card.

This mailer was used in World War II, as it has a 1943 postmark with an address and a signature by the sender.

E. C. Kropp also issued some of these cards as individual postcards.  However, in my online research I have not seen another example of the mailer with the expandable set of cards.  The interior cards are in exceptional condition.  This is a wonderful piece of World War II ephemera.
