Noach van der Meer (1741-1822) was a Dutch printmaker and book illustrator.  The print offered here is an illustration for a book entitled Vaderlandsche historie or National History, published in 1790.

The print shows a ship carrying peat being unloaded in the town of Breda.  The print can be seen in the Rijksmuseum Collection, Object No. RP-P-OB-80.097.

This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off.  Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints and art that I sell are not "reproductions".  For example, offered maps are of the period.  Please check my other listings for additional items of interest. I will happily combine shipping.
