With its strong wings outstretched and an oak branch in its talons, the incredibly detailed 2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle BU (Type 2) design shows a bald eagle descending with the branch appearing to be added to its nest. While we still highly value the original eagle and shield design, it made sense to go with a more realistically rendered image of the eagle going forward.
