OVERVIEW

The Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 is a performance and high performance, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Sumitomo offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty for W speed-rated sizes and 65,000 mile treadwear warranty for H- and V speed-rated tires.

The asymmetric tread pattern, with the large elements, can firmly grip the road surface with extra biting edges. This consistent road contact also boosts steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering response time is faster and more precise to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. Large elements' excellent grip upgrades maneuvering, which guarantees great controllability and stability. This makes the tire perfectly safe even in high speed performance. On the other hand, the strong construction does not allow the tire to deform, while the heat-resistant compound protects the tread area against heat build-up.

The model offers great all season performance. The asymmetric tread pattern can follow the road surface in summer and winter conditions. At the same time, the compound keeps the rubber flexible in different temperatures. This increases performance in dry, wet, and winter weather. Also, large grooves protect the tire against slipping in wet situations. These grooves eliminate water and slush from the footprint, which leads to better hydroplaning resistance.

This tire also promotes fuel-efficient performance. The ideal tread design and the special rubber compound work together to reduce the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. This low rolling resistance also decreases fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, for a fuel-conscious and environmentally friendly driving experience.

The Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 extends its service life. The asymmetric tread pattern can evenly distribute driving pressure across the tread area, while the special compound slows the treadwear rate down. This combination effectively prevents irregular and premature wear formation, for longer-lasting tread life and usability.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
