Very rare Antique French Sterling Silver & glass Cordial Liquor Cups set 8 pcs in its case.

With pierced silver handles & housing around the glass cup inserts and mascaron or Bacchus figures. The decoration of the handle is hand-made.Is a rare model style gothic or renaissance . Circa end 19th.

The inside of the glass holders is Vermeil (Gold-plated on Sterling silver).

Marked with French solid Sterling Silver garantee hallmarks: Minerva 1 head titre mark, 950/1000 First French silver standard (higher then sterling 925/1000)

The silversmith mark: E P and knife for: Emile Puiforcat registed 10 Mars 1853 It was installed à Paris 16 rue Chapon – Paris.

Weight for the sterling silver without the glasses : 4,76oz ( 135 grammes)

Weight for the set : 10,79oz ( 306 grammes)

Weight with box: 39,78oz ( 1,128 grammes)

The sterling glass holders : are in good condition. It is just missing a small leaf that you can see in the photo.

The case : is in good condition with traces of wear of time;The connecting fabric with the lid is torn. a crack under the box It closes well A loss of coating in a corner
