Straight from our brass (and silver) instrument repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life...All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked.  Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in good playable condition.  For the collector who is looking for an instrument; we try to keep the original parts whenever possible; if the playability is good, we feel it should be left to the buyer's discretion to replace parts as desired.  We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and have shown what we can in the pictures allowed. We are happy to answer any questions asked.  #01/2021

Up for sale is a 1959 Olds Studio Model T15 made by FE Olds and Son Professional Tenor Trombone-made in Fullerton Calif. The horn has serial #330xxx and is in great condition with really nice engraving: STUDIO MODEL, FE Olds & Son Fullerton Calif.
The horn is made of yellow brass, nickel brass and solid nickel silver; FE Olds introduced the Olds Studio model line with the "Brilliant Bell", a distinctive nickel silver flare.  The slide bore is .485/.500 and the bell flare is 7 1/2".

There are various small dings and light scratching throughout with mild pitting at the grips.  The slide action is very good and the slide is in good condition with very low wear.  The stockings are clean with no flaking or chips and there is excellent compression.
This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish).  This horn comes with a used mouthpiece (may not be the one pictured) and a used case for shipping.  The case has a missing latch on one side and does not stay closed but will be packed safely for shipping. The case will need to be repaired or replaced.

This Studio model is a precise playing horn; it slots well with great intonation and response.  I would describe the ability of this horn to play everything well, with a beautiful, straightforward sound and good power; would be great for a jazz lead and plays with a sweet tone.
