The roots of the American bicycle parts manufacturer SRAM go back to 1987. Their first product was the 'Grip Shift' twist-grip shifter, which was particularly popular on mountain bikes in the early 1990s. Through various acquisitions of other brands such as the manufacturers Sachs, RockShox and Truvativ, SRAM has gradually expanded its product portfolio. Today, alongside Shimano and Campagnolo, SRAM is regarded as a full range supplier in the field of drivetrains and as an innovation driver in the field of bicycle gear systems.
