Deep shades of Pink from hot to pastel are distinctive qualities of this wonderful antique art glass known as PEACHBLOW!
This is a Victorian BISCUIT or cracker JAR made of cased peachblow glass with a glossy finish and polished pontil - decorated with hand painted raised Gold enamel flowers and gold sponged accents.
It is finished with beautiful silverplate mounts - the handle has rosettes, beading and a little twist - the collar has a pretty embossed pattern - and the lid a lovely leaf design.
Unsigned - believed to be made at the New England Glass Works - circa 1886-1888.
Measurements: 10" tall w/handle up, 7" high to the tip of the finial, 5.25" high to the rim, 4.5" wide across the top, 5.25" wide base.
